St. John's is a congregation which relies on the service and participation of many members. The St. John's Guild is a women's organization of the church that was established to provide friendship, fellowship, and an opportunity to be of service to St. John's Lutheran Church and White Creek Lutheran School.  All women of the congregation are invited to participate.  Meetings are held approximately one evening per month, with dates and times announced in the church calendar and bulletin.  A normal agenda includes devotions, planning, an activity of some sort, and light refreshments.  Recent projects have included hand-crafting cards, assembling hygiene kits for women in developing countries, volunteering at Orphan Grain Train, organizing Maundy Thursday's Seder/Passover meal, putting together shut-in baskets, creating baptismal banners, and sending greetings and gift cards to college students.  The Guild also supports education and youth by providing classroom funds for White Creek teachers, collecting school supplies to be distributed through Orphan Grain Train, and raising funds for St. John's youth to attend the national youth gathering.
